10 Must Have Travel Essentials You Might Need

Everyone loves to travel, be it to the mountains, the beaches, or historical monuments. Travel also comes with responsibilities and certain arrangements that you have to make. Along with the increased excitement, you can experience a lot of energy in yourself.

However, there are some important things that you need while traveling. I remember, when I travelled for the first time, I felt the need for some of the travel essentials which I didn’t have. Rather than spending extra time and money on those things while traveling, it is better to make a list of must-have travel essentials.

If you are planning a trip or had already planned, stay tuned with me. I can help you pack your bag! You might need some of the things listed below.

  • Official Documents

When you are making your travel essentials list, never forget to include your official documents. The documents including your passport, visa, identity card, and pan card are useful for traveling. The identity card here means the card which ensures that you are a citizen of a particular country.

If you are Indian and want travel across India, adhaar card is a must.

  • Portable Chargers

It is unfair to travel without your mobile phone. During an emergency, a mobile phone will be the first thing to come to your mind. If we are talking about mobile phones, then carrying a charger with you is essential.

There are portable chargers like power banks available in the market. The power banks can work for three consecutive days and are handy for traveling.

  • Silicone or Foldable Water Bottles

Silicone bottles are the best alternative to plastic bottles. Silicone is free of other toxic chemicals like BPA and is approved by FDA.

Silicone bottles are flexible and take up less space as they are foldable. You can find affordable silicone bottles in a variety of designs. Check online sites like Meesho and Amazon for the best deals.

  • Handy Soaps

There are disposable paper soaps in the market which are specially made for travel purposes. Paper soaps are a bunch of papers that are covered with soapy material. If you put them under water the soap will come out and you can use it accordingly.

Nowadays a pack of small paper soaps is available in different flavors. You can find them easily on Amazon at an affordable range. Just make sure to check the reviews.

  • Medicines

You know that your medicines are important, hence, you should not forget them. But it’s a gentle reminder from my side so that you don’t forget to include your medicines with you. You have to take extra precautions while traveling.

When I travel, I take some medicines for stomach pain, headache, vomiting, etc. It is not necessary but it’s safe to keep them with you.

Many people have sicknesses from high altitudes. Such people can take certain medicines as their doctor prescribes. Diabetic and asthma patients have to take extra precautions while traveling.

  • Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an essential thing that you need to put in your travel backpack. Especially in the time of summer or when you travel in tropical areas. Sunscreens can stop harmful UV rays to enter your body.

The ozone layer is getting slightly depleted, due to which UV rays enter the earth's surface. To prevent your body, you need to apply sunscreen lotion.

There are multiple lotions in the market. The most recommended ones are mineral-based sunscreens which are devoid of toxic chemicals. For Indian skin tone, SPF 30 is enough.

  • Shall/Stole/ Comfortable Jackets

You should keep extra shall, stole or jacket on your back. It will be helpful for both the summer and winter seasons.

In winter, windcheater jackets are crucial for travelers, especially those who travel by bike. These jackets are extremely comfortable and act as a shield against cold air.

  • Mask & Sanitizer

India has control over covid situation up to great extent. However, it hasn’t gone completely. Other strains of covid are still here to haunt us. It is the time when we should extra precautions for ourselves and our families.

  • Comfortable Shoes

When you travel, you may perhaps walk around miles. When it comes to comfort, wearing heels is not a good option. It may hurt your legs. However, there are better and more affordable options that you can mix and match with your outfit.

Flat sandals and loafers are the better options. They are available in a variety of colors and designs. You can match them with your outfit. Converse shoes are the trending options. They can go mostly with any outfit.

Conclusion

Traveling is a lot of fun, but you need to keep the travel essentials with you for a lot of reasons. It may provide you convenience, comfort, and will definitely help you save your money.

It is advisable to make a list of the essential items before you travel. Let me know in the comments if I can add more items to my list.
